Our Founders

​MobileTek was founded in 2004 by Andy Lawhorn, at the time a Senior Systems Engineer at Wright State University. 
While there, he led the university in designing and deploying large scale network projects, wireless deployments and server consolidation efforts to virtualization. 
In 2009, a second partner was added Steve Lawhorn, brother to Andy and a veteran programmer and database administrator.  Pioneer of the Remote Monitoring and Management sector, leading the vision of LabTech Software.
 

 

 

Our Business

​MobileTek, headquartered in Dublin Ohio, is a full service IT provider servicing locations across Ohio and Indiana with branch locations in Toledo, Mansfield and Cleveland areas. 
Our service at our core is delivering best practice Managed Services to Schools.  
MobileTek takes a unique approach in IT services, staying completely focused on school technology and a client base comprising of mostly schools. 
The combination of Managed Services specializing in delivery to schools for over ten years has enabled us to be a Leader in K-12 Technology.


Our Philosophy

We strive to reduce technology cost for schools by implementing onsite standards, managed and remote services with state of the art platforms seen often times in the private sector.  This allows easy to use communication tools for electronic ticketing, remote control desktop and chat with our helpdesk for all teachers and staff.  This platform also performs preventative and automatic maintenance to further reduce support cost by extending the life of hardware, and keeping equipment working at optimal levels.  

Our clients challenge is our challenge

We are constantly addressing support challenges in the classroom such as teacher time constraints, mobile cart challenges, tablet computers, wireless density issues and getting the most out of electronic boards.  We understand the outside challenges such as food services software to maintain free and reduced lunch counts, OAA electronic testing standards coming on, one to one initiatives, different funding platforms such as Title, Erate and numerous other grant programs.  We make it our challenge to engage ourselves to be in front of these issues in order to communicate to our clients which sets them up for success.
